Two Herds and No Land

I am a goatherd with two herds and no land.
I have a hook, a rod, and two hands.
I have an iron fence and a guardian on command.
I have the grass, a rock pillow, and the ground.
What’s left? (Other than a goatherd needing land..)

I have this body, I have a spirit and a soul,
An instrument of service and nothing more.
The mission is healing and keeping secrets untold.
The divine is what binds me to the animals of old.

I handle each goat to touch the heart of one.
By way of peace, their agitation is undone.
Some men just don’t know how to let go.
They need a guiding goat to travel this road.

This Shamanic goat knows where to travel,
Whether rocks or cliffs, or the slippery gravel.
God, protect us and guide us along the way,
And grant us green land; this is what I pray.
