What is it like to volunteer for Breakthrough? Rachel, a longtime Breakthrough volunteer (pictured above), says that every time she walks into a facility, she sees that Breakthrough is about far more than workforce development; it's about connection, hope, and possibility. She has seen participants grow into peer facilitators, become mentors to others, and begin to imagine new futures for themselves. Rachel often tells others considering volunteering that they may enter thinking they are there to help someone else, but they often leave feeling deeply impacted themselves.

Sign up closes MONDAY for one of the largest volunteer events in Breakthrough’s history — and we need your help!

On June 9th at Arkansas Valley Correctional Facility, we will conduct Mock Interviews for 70 participants! As always, our goal is to maintain a 1:1 volunteer-to-participant ratio to ensure every participant receives individualized support, encouragement, and attention.

Right now, we only have 50 of our 70 volunteer spots filled for Arkansas Valley — so we need your help filling these rooms with encouragement, support, and community.
