The elevator is WORKING so we will be meeting upstairs in the North Lodge Room at our usual time on Sunday morning!

WORK TRADE OPPORTUNITIES
You can help us run the event in exchange for dancing for FREE on Sunday.
We are looking for people that are energetic, emotionally resilient and comfortable following instructions for work exchange. Some Sundays are very relaxed and other days are more of a push. This depends on how many of us show up and what kind of events happened in the venue the night before. Sometimes there are surprises that can make set up more challenging.
An event manager will communicate your responsibilities more specifically on the day of the event, but everyone should be able and prepared to perform physical labor like lifting heavy boxes and mopping the large floor. Every Sunday set up will be different, because there will always be a different constellation of people and circumstances.
If you feel you are differently abled but still want to volunteer, please email [email protected] (https://www.denverecstaticdance.com/contact-us) and let us know your requirements/accommodations. We likely have another job for you.
SET UP (5 people):
-Arrive an hour before the event starts and help us set up until the event begins. This involves following specific set up instructions from our event manager, helping us move equipment/supplies from the basement, moving furniture, cleaning the venue (including bathrooms) and setting the space.
-Depending on how much help we have that day, you may ALSO work a 45 minute desk shift from and receive credit for a SECOND DANCE FREE.
BREAK DOWN (2 people):
- Arrive 30 minutes before the event ends
- Commit to staying with us at the venue until everything is put away in a good way. This role is only available when all set up slots have been filled.
We depend on work trade staff to run our event smoothly, so please do not sign up if you aren't sure of your ability to attend. We ask for 24 hours notice if you need to cancel, so that we have the opportunity to plan ahead for the extra work load. Work exchange is a commitment, but it's usually pretty fun. We'd love to work and play with you!
If you are interested in dancing for FREE in exchange for helping us run the event please text Ashley at 678-458-2490.

The 4th women's dance takes place Wednesday with Ahva, Siri and Tammy. This will likely be the last monthly event as will likely switch to a quarterly schedule moving forward. Hope you can make it!

---------------
In his more than 20 years of experience DJing and producing, Chris Cox has created music for the Denver Broncos – which aired on national TV during Super Bowl XLVII – done an official remix for EDM legends The Crystal Method, had tunes in rotation on FM radio, and worked as an engineer for some of the biggest electronic acts in the world. He’s best known for his previous bass music alias Omega, but the breadth of his sonic creations range far beyond any single genre, including numerous side projects and collaborations spanning nearly every style of electronic music. DJing for ecstatic dance events has been a central part of his musical mission since he first played for Rhythm Sanctuary more than fifteen years ago. Though he recently retired the Omega alias, and his new project Acharya is still in its infancy, he has remained a pillar of the Colorado ecstatic dance community, regularly performing and serving as a teacher and mentor for other DJs and producers in the scene. His ecstatic dance sets always feature original music from his various projects, woven together with tunes from his favorite artists, and from his students and clients.
