This former golf course-turned-park is getting a little lift and a whole lot more life by restoring acres of native habitat. Who’s ready to explore the great outdoors?

Green Street Sustainability Park is evolving, shaped by the voices, ideas, and energy of the Ridgway community. This project is rooted in three core themes: Plants, People, and Power. And when we say power, we’re talking about more than just community strength — we’re talking about the literal power of solar energy and microgrids, designed to provide electrical resilience and emergency power for the Town of Ridgway.

At our second design meeting, the community came together, offering invaluable insights as we reviewed concepts for the park’s solar features, play areas, restored landscapes and public spaces. Your involvement is a gift, helping to shape something that goes beyond the physical — it’s a space built with intention, care, and the desire to create something lasting.

Can a groundbreaking be more than just the start of a project? Can a moment like this carry the weight of history, culture, and community? We believe it can.

Last week, we marked the beginning of something truly meaningful for Denver — the 9th & Navajo project. A deep thank you to Ratio Architects, Mercy Housing, and all the visionary partners who brought this dream into reality.

The ceremony was a sacred one. Doug Good Feather from led a land blessing and traditional dance, honoring the profound connection to the land and its history — acknowledgment of the Indigenous peoples who once called this land home and whose involvement will continue to shape its future.

This project is about more than just buildings. It’s a commitment to community, to wellness, to honoring the past as we move forward together.

Today’s the day! We are so excited to share that Bluff Lake Nature Center has broken ground, beginning the process of renovating this beloved community space. A huge thank you to the folks over at Bluff Lake Nature Center and design & construction teams who are making this project possible. Bluff Lake will soon have new net-zero energy educational center as well as outdoor classrooms, rain gardens, improved native planting and wildlife habitat, and an ADA accessible ramp leading down the bluff.

Collaborating with , the design minimized the building footprint, creating more space for outdoor learning spaces and native plantings while also reducing energy consumption and material use.
