In this week’s Pastor’s Corner, Fr. Chris reflects on Pentecost and the fire of the Holy Spirit that opens what is closed within us and calls us to live fully for Christ.

Today we honor Saint Rita of Cascia, who carried the love of Christ in a beautiful and painful way. After years of prayer and devotion, she received a wound on her forehead from the Crown of Thorns, sharing in Jesus’ suffering with great humility and faith. Known as the saint of impossible causes, St. Rita reminds us to trust God even through life’s hardest moments.

Today we celebrate Saint Bernardine of Siena, who spent his life joyfully preaching the love of Jesus wherever he went. With humility, kindness, and a heart full of faith, he reminded others to trust in the Holy Name of Jesus and live for the Lord each day.

This Sunday we celebrate the Ascension of the Lord and Christ’s promise to remain with us always through His Church, the Eucharist, and the sacraments.
