This is how I love to start the CO High School softball season! Shout out to Avia Marusich of George Washing High School for leading her Patriots to a run rule victory over Standley Lake, giving up 0 ERs and racking up an astounding 14 STRIKEOUTS in 5 innings. In case you didn’t do that math in your head just now….you need 15 outs in a 5 inning game….only one batter got out putting the ball in play, not via the K. 😳 🔥 🥎 💨 💪

A good reminder always, but especially during the WCWS!!

The games are SO inspiring and there are so many girls who want to be in that exact spot. Which I LOVE! Softball is such a great sport and I want as many girls to love it as possible because it’s one of the best things I’ve done and continue to do!

BUT!

You don’t get there without working harder than 99% of everyone else that wants to be there. 9 times out of 10 if you think you are working hard enough, there’s more to be done.

Doesn’t always mean physical work either. Talent and hard work with a weak mind doesn’t work either.

Take care of your body and mind and learn to push yourself mentally and physically so when the time comes wether in softball or life, you prevail 🩷
