Somr big progress happened at the new Comp-Cal shop! 🏁πŸ”₯

The walls are starting to tell the story of where I've been and the incredible customers who have trusted me with their vintage stock car restorations over the years. The new β€œCustomer Wall of Fame” is coming together with some of our favorite builds and memories from decades of racing history.

The timeline of my racing career β€” from the early youth racing days all the way to being part of the 2005 NASCAR Cup Series Championship season with Joe Gibbs Racing and Tony Stewart. It’s pretty special seeing the journey laid out on the walls of the new shop.

Still plenty more to do, but it’s finally starting to feel like home. Can’t wait to keep adding more history, more restorations, and more memories to these walls.

New Comp-Cal Shop update: Another weekend in the books, progress has still been made but not exactly photo worth. Hung photos in the bathroom. I didn't want anything racing in there. I chose images from around north carolina instead. Beach, Mountains, Blue Ridge Parkway, Lake Norman, and well of course the Days Of Thunder barn since its in mooresville.

Some electrical completed but not enough, vent filters installed to cut down on dust blowing around, and built frame work to hold the hexagon lights.

Still so much to do and so little time. I'm excited to move the business there but also so exhausted from all the prep.

New Comp-Cal shop update from this past weekend, well week really. More progress made on the new shop for my full time business.

As I mentioned previously, I'm making weekly posts on the progress of the new space for my full time business, that way everyone see's where all my time if being devoted to until the business is moved and up and running. Once thats completed, I can finally get back to BW Modelworks clients builds.

Behind the shop area cleaned up and better organized, opening up more work area and parking outdoors. New outdoor signage installed.

Inside, I was able to finish the bathroom painting, clean the concrete, fill the expansion Crack in the floor, paint the trim, paint the bathroom door, install new hardware, install a new seat for the toilet, and prep the floor for tile.

Installed the rest if the handrailing on the stairs, get the upstairs office painted, take down light fixtures and clean them along with clean the fixtures that will be reused and installed.

My sons and wife came by yesterday to give a hand, that was very much appreciated. wouldn't have been able to do that much work without them.

I'm supposed to move in completely by June 1. So still a lot of work to go.

Thanks for everyone's patience and support.

Comp-Cal New Shop Construction. For those interested. This is what my father and I have been working on the past 4 months. As you can see, a huge undertaking when only being able to work on it during weekend hours.

Thank you for your patience. It's very much appreciated.
