On the “easel” this weekend. Well, I don’t paint on an easel but you get the point. It’s close to done, just needs a few more tweaks.

People ask me what my paintings mean or what I’m thinking about when I paint and to be honest, they don’t all have a meaning behind them.

I paint for me, letting myself go where ever I want with the paint. It is soothing and therapeutic and the act of putting paint on a canvas can help me relax. Usually. LOL. If I try too hard to make it something, that’s where I get stuck. So when I practice letting go of my need to make it good, it typically turns out better.

Something I’ve been working on for a while. Some pieces come together easily and some are more challenging. Eventually they all work out in the end. If they don’t work out, it’s not the end. 😂
