Justice-involved individuals with opioid used isorder (OUD) are at greatest risk for overdose the first two weeks after incarceration. Until medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is more readily available to these individuals, we believe everyone with OUD leaving incarceration should receive Naloxone and OpiRescue.
