Jan R. Carson is a textile artist. As a creative, she intentionally leans into the process rather than focusing on the outcome. By sewing repetitive cycles of cutting and stitching, she rarely has a plan for the final composition. However, her process mirrors her restless, inquisitive nature and most importantly, her desire to take risks. For Jan, the actions of separation and connection inherent in sewing, also investigate physical, mental, and emotional relationships.
