America Should Be More Like Bikers.

That may sound like a bold statement... but hear me out. As we celebrate America's 250th Birthday, I've been thinking about what the motorcycle community has quietly understood for generations.

We don't all vote the same. We don't all believe the same. We don't all come from the same backgrounds.

Yet somehow, when the kickstands go up, we ride together. Maybe the open road has been teaching us one of the greatest lessons about freedom all along.

I wrote this editorial for Motorcycle Rider News because I believe the First Amendment isn't just about protecting opinions we agree with—it's at its strongest when it protects the ones we don't.
