Hey everyone...quick update!

It's been a challenging weekend and beginning of the week--pain was kicking my butt and I was frustrated by what seemed like a slow response to the chemo. My tumor was just persistent and it was pushing on everything in my abdomen. But slowly this week I started to feel better and today I feel great! Pain is finally going away and things are starting to behave normally in my gut!

More importantly, today is the day I get my CAR T cells! This is a huge day, and as all the doctors and nurses and incredible folks on my treatment team keep reminding me, this day (hopefully) marks the beginning of the rest of my life!! I need everyone's prayers and positive energy today. I know these cells are gonna get to work right away fighting this disease and this is gonna be the treatment that cures me!!! Please help the universe push that through with your strong, positive and loving energy...

Good morning to all my wonderful friends and family. Thank you all for the continued love and prayers...

For those that don't know, I'm in Presbyterian St. Luke's hospital waiting to start what they call Lymphocyte Depleating Chemo. We've been waiting to rule out any infections as the cause of my fevers--blood cultures should come back today to confirm we are all good! This means chemo SHOULD start today! At that pace, I'll get me CAR T cells on Wednesday!!!

Please send BIG prayers and positive energy my way (as I know you always do)...God/Universe willing, chemo should mean some relief from the tumor pain in my gut and CAR T SHOULD mean zapping this pesky cancer out of my body entirely!!!
