The Groundwork Denver team had the privilege to come together to share food, stories, and smiles during our office potluck last week. During these uncertain times, we were able to take a few hours to soothe our souls together, over the universal language of food 🥘🌮🍛 (oh, and we watched A Bug’s Life 🐞🐜)

Applications for our 2026 Grit Cohort are OPEN! Groundwork Denver’s Green Infrastructure Training Program (Grit) is a two-month green-job exploration program for young adults aged 18-28. Participants graduate our program with valuable certifications (such as OSHA-10, HAZWOOPER-40, and more!) and experience, along with a year of career placement support. Today is Colorado Gives Day, and we need your support!

Each year, dozens of youth in Groundwork Denver programs contribute thousands of hours towards green projects. From installing rain gardens to planting trees to green job skills trainings, the work they complete benefits all of us living in metro Denver.

But recent funding cuts are set to limit our youth program in 2026.

Every dollar you give toward our $20,000 Colorado Gives Day goal directly supports more youth jobs, more hands-on learning, and more green projects in neighborhoods that need them most.
