Colorado Bach Ensemble

The Oregon Bach Festival came to a close on July 12th, marking over five decades celebrating the past, present, and future of Bach's artistic legacy.

It's also the first season since the passing of founder Helmuth Rilling. A mentor of our own CBE Artistic Director James Kim, it was Rilling's advice and support that led to the founding of the Colorado Bach Ensemble in 2012.

Rilling's towering presence will be sorely missed, but—as his beloved composer wrote in BWV 147—he will be forever remembered in the "hearts and mouths and deeds and lives" of his many protege around the world.
