Yan Yez

I’m hard on myself. Really hard (yeah, you can laugh at the innuendo, if ya like). And I hate asking for help. But here we are.
I’m leaning on my people; inner circle, family, friends, and fans to help me make the YAN YEZ debut album. I tried to self-produce over the last few years. I did what I could with what I had. But ultimately I had to accept that nothing quite came out the way I wanted. If I ever want a real chance at this band being something, I need to “do it right”. Hire professionals where I fall short.

I just don’t have the resources to make this happen myself. Trust me, I wish I did. But here we are.

I need help funding this album. A lot of help.

Life has a way of feeling very big in the moment. So this moment to me feels so large; a life-or-death culmination of all my years on Earth. I don’t write that as a means to pressure anyone to giving.

I just want to share how important it is for me and how hard it is to go for it with the risk of yet another big failure.

I want to show mad love to my bandmates Calvin Cohee and Kira Marie for dealing with me the last year – I was less productive than I’d hoped to be due to difficult life circumstances. But damnit they believe in this band. They make this band so much better than I ever could alone. And I can’t tell you how much that has meant to me.

I also want to show love to The Spot Studios – I’ve considered Glenn and Rich at The Spot Studios friends for a decade now. They’re the only people I want to make this record with and they’ve been kind enough to reserve some time for us in advance this fall already, as a sign of belief in this project.

All I ask is that you take a moment to look at the campaign, watch the video, read about the vision, etc. Your help, whether it be a donation or sharing with others, is so appreciated. THANK YOU SO MUCH IF YOU’VE ALREADY DONATED.
