March 4th, 2026. 3:32pm: Units responded to a reported vegetation fire, fire was approximately 0.5 acres.

The Heil fire is located approximately 12 miles north from Boulder and 1.5 miles west of the Foothills hwy.
The fire is burning in the 2020 Calwood burn scar.

A Firehawk helicopter from DFPC was assisting and carried out water drops, refilling from Allen’s Lake.

5:59pm: Boulder County Sheriff’s Office on facebook released a post saying that the fire is 70% contained at 7.6 acres. “they’re not concerned about the fire right now”. No structures were impacted or at risk. The fire will continue to smolder overnight. “firefighters will continue to secure the fire and safety continue in the morning” per Lefthand Fire Protection District on Facebook.

A few photos from the past two anti-ICE protests in Denver. Daytime photos are from Jan. 25th and night photos are from Jan. 31st.

Some light interaction between Denver SWAT & CSP and the protesters. No chemical munitions were used as the protesters either dispersed or took a different route themselves.

On Jan. 31st there was a short interaction between protesters and a counter-protester. A sign was ripped from the counter-protester’s hands, which prompted him to then grab the protester by the shirt before it deescalated.

Some photos I got at the yesterday. First time taking photos and filming at a motocross race. It was a super fun time and I look forward to capturing more races next year.

2024 Marathon Nationals is now over. A long and hot day for the racers with most racing about 40 miles of singletrack and temperatures rising over 90.
