Not only did we dance the night away and have the best time with all of you, but we got to experience a celebration of a genre of music that is so engrained in our LGBTQIA+ community, but learn more about the impact of Black q***r folks on the creation of House Music with 3 amazing black women! We had a night of ballroom culture last night and now it's time to move into the HOUSE MUSIC culture of it all for Black Pride 2026!

House music was born in Black communities, shaped by Black DJs, producers, and the creativity of Black LGBTQIA+ people who created spaces of freedom, joy, and self-expression. More than music, house became a sanctuary where marginalized people could dance, connect, and be themselves. Honor the culture. Honor the roots. Honor Frankie Knuckles at HOUSE IS BLACK tonight at X Bar! 🖤🏳️‍🌈🎶
