Good news! Important protections remain in place for wildlife and Indigenous sites at Grand Staircase-Escalante in Utah.

The Senate did not follow through with a threat to rollback safeguards after tens of thousands of Americans spoke up in support of this cherished landscape.

But let’s all stay vigilant to prevent future attacks on public lands!

Signed into law in 1934, the annual Duck Stamp Program features the hand-drawn artwork of adults and youth to raise money for conservation. Since its inception, the program has raised over $1.3 billion to conserve over 6 million acres of habitat, often in wildlife refuges.

For this week’s installment of Finding Refuge we’re collaborating with and to help get the word out. Artists may submit their entry beginning on June 1. See for more info and see the link in bio to read about our very own Tessa Nguyen who created this video.
