Happy New Year🎉

I started this painting on the Winter Solstice❄️ and have been working on it for the 12 days of Yule🕯️ May your winter be peaceful. May you allow yourself to genuinely rest and embrace the stillness of the season. 

Reflecting on 2025 I feel grateful for all the ways I was able to grow. It was another emotionally difficult year, with loss, grief, and more big life changes. Within the year of the snake, I shed so much of my outgrown identity. I created a new relationship with myself, and I'm able to love who I've become. I was able to experience so much with my community. I spent so much time with old friends, and made new ones too. It was the first year since my recovery that I've been able to live my life again. I was able to push my body and stay healthy, which I didn't know if I was going to be able to do. I'm looking forward to my new endeavors with my regained strength and confidence this next year. 

This year I was able to get my first art studio .art.studios, rejoin art communities , teach art classes, launch my online shop, launch the Humanity Art Project , display at the Denver Art Museum , and start my next body of work "Into the Shadows" (working title). I spent the year getting to know myself in the studio, processing the grief that I've gone through in my life. I've kept the work hidden, as I needed time to build a new relationship with my practice. I look forward to completing and sharing this new body of work in 2026.
