🚨 HELP US IN PRESERVING THE HUMANITIES IN COLORADO🚨

On April 2nd, Colorado Humanities received notice that our federal funding has been terminated, effective immediately, due to the Department of Governmental Efficiency’s (DOGE) effort to dismantle the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH).

This puts Colorado Humanities at a severe risk of closure and threatens communities statewide, ending FREE programs essential to our state’s cultural infrastructure, such as
• Colorado Book Awards and Colorado State Poet Laureate
• Author Talks at libraries, schools, bookstores, museums, and cultural centers statewide
• Educational resources for K-12 teachers and students
• Support for documentary films, exhibitions, and tours that help preserve our heritage and share stories, like our Emmy-winning The Five States of Colorado, living history festivals, and Museum on Mainstreet
• Trainings and facilitations of Community Conversations on challenging topics

This is not just a funding crisis. It is a crisis for our democracy. The humanities encompass our most cherished traditions, the free exchange of ideas, our shared histories, and our dreams for the future. We hold steadfast to the bipartisan belief that sparked the creation of the NEH: that “the humanities are not merely our, but the world’s best hope.”

Please join us in keeping the humanities alive in Colorado. You can help out in these ways:
• Like, comment, and share this post with your communities
• Donate. We CANNOT do this without you!
• Contact your U.S. Senators and Representatives and urge them to oppose defunding NEH

Colorado Humanites has been fortunate enough to witness time and time again the positive impact that our programs have made on rural and urban communities. In many cases, our free and accessible programs have been an invaluable resource to educators, libraries, and other institutions with limited funds. We love our work and have forged so many great partnerships, and hope to continue our work as long as we can. We urge you to join us in our fight to ensure that the humanities stay alive. I'm honored that has named If You Lie a finalist in the thriller category of the 2025 Colorado Book Awards!

Hey, check this out!

This morning, I was just informed by Audible that If You Lie was selected as a "Fresh Picks Sale" title. What does this mean? Well, for me it means my book is receiving national attention for a few days and is listed next to thrillers by some of the biggest authors in the business like Noelle W. Ihli, Jeneva Rose, Freida McFadden, Harlan Coben, and Robert Dugoni. It's crazy and I'm so honored! If you are a member of Audible, it's a buy-one-get-one free sale. One Audible credit gets you two titles.

If you're interested and want to snap it up, the deal runs through March 24th!

Appreciate you all!
