Eating disorders are underdetected and undertreated, particularly as many individuals with these conditions do not have obvious signs or symptoms. Healthcare providers working in primary care and/or community-based settings can make a difference by addressing eating disorders as early as possible. To date, screening for these conditions has been challenging given the lack of specific strategies that fit the needs of primary care and/or community-based practice.

This webinar will include a discussion about a National Center of Excellence for Eating Disorders tool: Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment for Eating Disorders, and how it can be used to increase detection of eating disorders and referrals to specialty care.
