Cosplay Kitten

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve done any sort of historical costuming…I haven’t worn this outfit in over ten years (and holy crap it still fits lol). My friend Eric recently introduced me to the Colorado Cowboys, a Wild West reenactment group, and I’m super excited to get back into it!

I made everything myself, including the petticoat underneath that gives everything shape, and I can’t wait to dig into my fabric stash to start sewing again. I’ve already got some suede and leather I was saving set aside for a vest and gloves, and need to figure out what kind of guns to add so I can figure out belts and holsters.

We’ll be marching in the Carnivale parade in Manitou Springs in a few weeks handing out beads and rounding up baddies or creating mischief…come see us!
