This month, we’re excited to spotlight our volunteer Jeff, whose passion for community nutrition has come full circle through his volunteer work.

Originally from Florida, Jeff has lived in nine states, with Colorado becoming home four years ago. While he now works in software, his background is in community nutrition, including work with food banks, community centers, farmers markets, and children’s feeding programs.

“I think the combination of the restaurant and all of the other programs is pretty unique. There’s always something to help with.”

We’re grateful to have volunteers like Jeff who bring both experience and enthusiasm to our community.

We hosted our first Aging Adult Bingo event yesterday afternoon, and what a fun afternoon it was! Thank you to everyone who joined us to connect over a little friendly competition, complete with prizes, plenty of laughs, and great company. Join us next Thursday at 3pm!

Floyd, our newest youth employee and a longtime participant in both our No-Cost Grocery Program and Kids Cooking Class, has been spending his summer mornings working in the kitchen. Today, he had the honor of feeding Michelangelo, proving that some summer jobs come with better employee perks than others 😉🐢
