๐ณ๏ธ Colorado voters have spoken.
The results of this weekโs primary elections will shape Coloradoโs political landscape for years to come.
Among the key primary winners:
โข Attorney General Phil Weiser secured the Democratic nomination for Governor after defeating U.S. Senator Michael Bennet in one of the stateโs most closely watched races.
โข Melat Kiros won the Democratic nomination for Coloradoโs 1st Congressional District, defeating longtime incumbent Diana DeGette in a race that drew national attention.
โข In Coloradoโs highly competitive 8th Congressional District, Manny Rutinel won the Democratic primary, setting up one of the stateโs most consequential general election contests this November.
โข Jena Griswold won the Democratic primary for Colorado Attorney General and will advance to the general election this fall.
At the EDABC, we know that elections matter because policy matters. The leaders elected yesterday will make decisions that influence economic development, small business growth, workforce opportunities, access to capital, housing, infrastructure, and the long-term prosperity of communities across Colorado.
We encourage everyone to:
โข Stay informed
โข Learn where candidates stand on the issues that matter most to your community
โข Make your voice heard in the general election.
Democracy is strongest when communities are informed, engaged, and represented.....
