Happy May Day, aka International Workers’ Day!!

This holiday honors American workers and their historic strikes to secure better working conditions, better pay, and dignity in the workplace. It is because of these workers that we have an 8 hour work day, for example.

Today is also the day that the Colorado legislature passed my bill, the Worker Protection Act. This bill does away with our state’s antiquated and unjust union laws, which make it more difficult for workers to form unions and collectively bargain.

I am proud to celebrate May Day by passing this landmark bill for our workers.
