While refinishing the basement in an old home in Denver, this family made a discovery! Beneath the carpet they had just ripped up and under a wooden board lay a mystery! Their curiosity was too much so I got the call. Being a floor safe that had likely not been open in at least 40 years based on the vacancy of this particular home it was no surprise to find a few inches of water from a possible basement flood at some point. While most mystery safes turn out to have nothing more than a paper clip, this one held surprises! A straight razor, a pocket knife, reading glasses and their case, as well as a Starter Pistol to initiate Track & Field type events. .
