The federal government's own document shows OCR knew the 61-student count came from self-reported gender identity data — not biological s*x. It acknowledged that in the same letter it used to justify threatening Jeffco's funding. Then it proceeded anyway.

Senior Education Reporter Suzie Glassman obtained that 31-page Letter of Findings through a public records request. There's a second problem in the document too: OCR built part of its case on a CHSAA policy it couldn't verify was even current.
