Three Tiers for Cake

We don't often get to do cakes anymore, but when we do, it's often for one of the coolest pepple we know, usually for really interesting party opportunities. This time, we were tasked with making "a cake that doesn't LOOK like a cake" for an NC political dignitary. We opted to make a replica of the NC State seal, and happily, the feedback from the host was that no one knew that it was cake! We love making cakes for ! He always gives up cart blanch on the design of a cake!

I love a good double barrel. This was a chic, minimalist double, double-barrel cake. A four tier cake made to look like a two tier. Navy and light grey/blue denim buttercream with a fondant hand painted ribbon to match the fabric pattern the groom designed!
