The arc of the night mirrors the emotional cycles we all recognize: the hopeful search for love, the spark of connection, the blissful highs of infatuation, the slow unraveling and the bittersweet clarity that comes after loss. I carefully chose samples, created edits and mashups that blur eras and genres of classic soul, hip-hop, jam, electro, cinematic themes and iconic love songs re imagined through the lens of the Pretty Lights universe

Moments like “Lookin For Love (But Not So Sure)” with Men At Works sample of Overkill's "At least there's Pretty Lights," or Sade’s “No Ordinary Love” that wove it's way into the live Pretty Lights recording of Double Love, accompanied by live modular synth, are meant to feel intimate and familiar, yet transformed, like memories softened by time, echoing back with new meaning. Tracks such as “Moreland Ave Blues” and “Goodbye, Baby” lean into nostalgia and reflection

The set closes with a sense of surrender and catharsis, featuring my electro remix of Elton John’s, Rocket Man, which lifts the listener into something hopeful, expansive, and human reminding the audience once again with that repeated sample, "at least there's Pretty Lights." Not a sad ending, but an honest one

This is a love letter set to connection, to loss, to growth and to a shared emotional language
