We wanted to introduce our winner of the workout challenge we have been putting on. This is Kennedy. She is one of our novices who has been putting in the work! We are proud of you! Kennedy says “I joined rowing because I’ve always wanted to try and never got the chance to, until now. This rowing family means so much to me and I couldn’t have asked for such a fun group to be around. I felt in place right away, and have had so many good laughs and times. Even with the short season. There is much to learn and I can’t wait!!!!” We can’t wait either! Stay tuned to see other fun and creative ways we are sticking together while being apart!

Saying goodbye to a senior on the team is never easy! Thank you Haley for the laughs! Your jokes while you Cox will be missed. This is definitely not the goodbye or graduation any of us expected for you, but you handled it like a champ! Thank you for four years of coxing and always being there for us when we needed you most! Racing just won’t be the same without you. Now go out and change the world! Congratulations grad!

This weekend our team was supposed to be attending ACRAs, our national regatta. With everything going on in the world right now we could not attend, but we wanted to still celebrate our accomplishments of this year and everything we had been working towards, so we did a team virtual 5K. I am very proud to announce that is our winner! Nice work to everyone who participated! Also, we hope that everyone had a safe Memorial Day weekend, and thank you to any members of the military, you do not go unnoticed.

The 2010s brought some pretty cool things, but the best would have to be DU Rowing. Ever since we started in 2012, we have been learning, growing, laughing, crying, and of course, getting blisters. We have come so far in the past few years, and with the turn of the decade, we can’t wait to see how much further we go! Here’s to more medals won, more meters rowed, more blisters earned and of course more laughs than we can count! Wishing everyone a safe and happy New Years from DU Rowing!
