Sky Tree begins with the landscape. Perched high above Upper Bear Creek, the great room was designed to capture changing light, distant ridgelines, and the rhythm of the seasons.

Here at Monte Vista in Niwot, we approached the site like a small village rather than a single structure. Dark standing-seam roofs tie the compound together while giving each pavilion its own identity against the mountain backdrop.

Looking up has never felt quite like this. The oculus at the top of this spiral stair was one of our favorite design moments at the Polo residence. Every turn upward brings you closer to that brilliant circle of light above.
Romanesque in spirit, personal in every detail.

A limestone arch and a symmetrical facade announce Whitehaven long before you reach the door — classical order at the front that loosens into pool, porch, and garden at the rear. Built in honed limestone, slate, and zinc, it's a single-story ranch designed for a lifetime of gathering.

As the sun sets over the Roaring Fork Valley, the backyard becomes a front-row seat to the meadow and mountains beyond.
Whether gathering with friends on the terrace or unwinding in the hot tub, every space is designed to encourage a slower pace and a deeper connection to the landscape. Expansive terraces create room for entertaining, while the open lawn beyond offers space for children to run, explore, and play.

In this Boulder retreat, the kitchen balances warmth and scale through a carefully layered material palette. Exposed wood beams draw attention to the vaulted ceiling above, while dark cabinetry, stone surfaces, and steel accents ground the space below.

Designed to embrace life on the bay, this bedroom welcomes each day with natural light, water views, and easy access to the outdoors. Large glass doors create a seamless connection between indoors and out, making it just as easy to step onto the balcony with a morning coffee as it is to unwind at the end of the day.

In this home, we drew from traditional architecture to create a home that feels timeless, welcoming, and livable. Handcrafted details, intimate proportions, and durable materials establish a sense of permanence, while a carefully considered progression of spaces supports the way the family lives today.
