On 01/30/2026 Lincoln County Deputies responded to 394 Cedar Creek Ct in reference to animal cruelty complaints. When Lincoln County Deputies arrived on scene, they located a sheep and a goat that had been shot inside of a barn on the property. Both had what appeared to be deliberate gunshot wounds to their heads. The animals were last known to be alive on 01/30/2026 at approximately 6:30AM and were located at approximately 7:30PM. Deputies photographed the crime scene and searched the area but were unable to locate any footprints in the snow and ice or any shell casings. Deputies were advised of a potential suspect.

Lincoln County Detectives were assigned this case and interviewed the suspect. No arrests have been made at this time. Detectives canvassed the area and spoke with neighbors regarding individuals seen in the area or potential video footage available, but they were unable to provide any information to assist with this investigation. The crime scene was searched, and a metal detector was used inside of the barn, but no evidence has been recovered at this time.

The victim in this case is offering a $5,000 reward for truthful information that leads to a felony conviction in court.
