☀️ Ozone season is here, and Colorado’s summer air quality can affect how we live, work, exercise and spend time outdoors.

This week, Denver Health hosted a news conference with CoPIRG Foundation and local public health advocates to help raise awareness about ozone pollution along the Front Range, its health risks and steps Coloradans can take to protect themselves and their families.

Ozone pollution can be especially harmful for people with asthma, COPD, heart conditions, older adults, children and those who spend a lot of time outdoors. On high ozone days, consider checking air quality alerts, limiting strenuous outdoor activity, moving exercise indoors when needed and following guidance from local air quality officials.

Denver Health’s Amy Quinones, APP at Peña Urgent Care Center, also joined CBS Colorado to discuss the risks of ozone exposure and how Coloradans can stay safe this summer.
