I’ve had the pleasure of debriefing with nearly all of my kids but in doing so, I started to think.

We always ask a lot from these kids when it comes to the development their skills, their attitude to be a certain way to fit the team, their perspective to shift, grit, etc.

But what do we do as coaches to grow? We ask a lot out of these kids but how often as coaches to we keep it honest and make the adjustment to ourself? Especially when things go wrong.

Times are changing. Are we growing with the times or remaining stuck to what we know and nothing else?

The question was obviously raised as I was doing some self reflection, but I thought I’d share because it’s a valid question to ask amongst all coaches.
