Hear ye, hear ye! In honor of America's 250th birthday, young time travelers were invited to journey back to the days of colonial America for an afternoon of history, discovery, and merriment in the children's room! 🦅🪶🎉

Presented by the Derby Public Library local history and children's departments, this special event showcased an assortment of fascinating artifacts and everyday treasures from long ago once used by early Americans.

After exploring history up close, children crafted their own whirligig (a colorful spinning toy inspired by those enjoyed centuries ago).
