Meet the Team Behind the Midwest Coffee Expo

Hi everyone! I’m Deep, founder of Mayalu Coffee and organizer of the Midwest Coffee Expo — and I’m so excited to invite you into what we’re building.

Our mission is simple: to bring people together to connect, learn, and grow within the coffee community. Everything about this expo is designed with collaboration, opportunity, and shared success in mind.

Next week, we’re heading to World of Coffee in San Diego to learn from the best in the industry and bring that inspiration, energy, and insight right back to the Midwest, especially Des Moines.

I’m honored to be working alongside Lisa Treptow, Event & Operations Director, who is passionate about creating welcoming, well-run events and bringing people together through thoughtful planning and experience design. She’s helping shape this into something truly special, not just an event, but an experience where partners, vendors, and attendees all feel supported and valued.
