Everyone by now has heard about Quantum Mechanics and Superposition of matter. And the names of some of the various supporting theories.

But tonight I am going to share with you one that may save your life or at least provide some of you with a scientific justification for your own peace of mind.

This is my addendum to the general theory of Quantum Mechanics, and I call it:

"The Cable Superposition Uncertainty Principle"

Theory: The act of keeping a box of old, obsolete cables is governed by a quantum-like principle known as the Cable Superposition Uncertainty Principle.

This theory states that as long as the cables remain in your possession, they exist in a state of quantum superposition—simultaneously both needed and unnecessary.

The exact state cannot be determined until you attempt to use one, at which point the cable's state collapses, often revealing it to be obsolete or unnecessary.

Paradox: According to the Schrödinger's Cable Paradox, if you decide to throw the cables away, the quantum state of superposition collapses into a definitive state of "needed." The next day, you will invariably find yourself in desperate need of one of the cables you discarded.

Copenhagen Cable Interpretation: The Copenhagen Cable Interpretation suggests that the very act of observing the cables and considering their utility forces them into a state of uselessness. However, discarding them causes the universe to recalibrate, making one of them suddenly indispensable.

Heisenberg Uncertainty of Replacement Principle: Finally, the Heisenberg Uncertainty of Replacement Principle implies that once you need the discarded cable, it becomes impossible to replace, and any attempts to find a replacement will be met with increasing difficulty, proportional to the urgency of your need.

And this is why you must never under any circumstances, discard any old obsolete computer cables. The very fabric of space time itself could be put in peril.
