Food and Music with Soten Taiko at the World Food & Music Festival!

Soten Taiko, which translates to "Blue Sky" Taiko, is central Iowa's only Taiko drumming group. The group began in March of 2011 with the hope to introduce and share the traditional Japanese art form with their community.

They began with two taiko drums and have have gradually added more, along with other Japanese instruments. As part of the Japan America Society of Iowa, Soten Taiko has performed at many different events, such as IAA Asian Heritage Festival, school and community cultural events, and corporate gatherings.

Soten Taiko will perform on the Cultural Stage at 1 pm on Sunday, August 25th. Swing by the Cultural Pavilion after the performance to learn more about the different cultures living in Iowa! Downtown Des Moines - DSM
