Hey y’all, Vy here. I know it’s been a little quiet in our little corner but I promise we’re still working hard! I don’t usually share personal life stories on here but May is a special month for our household this year. We’re celebrating AAPI Month, Mother’s Day and Maternal/Mental Health Month. As some of you know, I took a couple months aways from the restaurant to welcome our little one. One week after giving birth, I was already back at work due to us being short staffed (this was when our mango sticky rice matcha drink blew up!!). Don’t worry, I did end up taking a long break and only stepped in when I *really* needed to! This wouldn’t have been possible without my parents and husband working around the clock. It took some time for all of us to find our rhythm but we’re finally getting the hang of it.

While it feels good to be back at work more now, my body still feels strange. I’m constantly timing my next pump and boyyy do I miss my baby. But, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t miss seeing all the familiar faces and meeting new customers. Those who got to know me during my pregnancy have all made sure to check in when they saw me back at the cash register recently 🥹

I’m sure we’ve made a lot of mistakes during this time but we’re always making for room for improvement. Running a restaurant postpartum has been one of the most challenging things I’ve ever done and I’m forever grateful for your patience. Your continued support has carried our small family business through dark times.

To celebrate, starting tomorrow, all of our 16oz iced coffee will be $5.10 (taxes not included) until the end of May!! Cookie butter, ube cream, matcha cream, strawberry cream- the options are endless and are all available for you to enjoy! Happy Mother’s Day Weekend! 🩷
