As we get ready to close our doors after nearly 18 years in two special locations, we’ve been thinking about all the amazing memories made here.

It is time for Django to say “adieu.”

After nearly 18 years, our final day of service is scheduled for Saturday, March 14.

This was a difficult decision. Django has been a part of our community’s culinary landscape for the better part of two decades both during our early days in the Hotel Fort Des Moines and over the last eight years overlooking the Pappajohn Sculpture park. We’ve had the honor of being the backdrop to so many wonderful memories, from engagements and birthday celebrations to everyday occasions like workday happy hours and weeknight dinners.

However, today’s unique combination of market and economic conditions have created significant headwinds, and the time is right to conclude Django’s story.

While our closure date is set, we believe there are still memories to be made over the next six weeks. We hope you will stop in and visit Django one more time, revisit your favorite dishes and raise a final toast as we bid goodbye.....

Reservations through 3/14 are open and available online via Django’s website (DjangoDesMoines.com) or by phone at 515-288-0268.

Existing Django gift cards will be honored through closure. After that, they will be accepted at participating Orchestrate locations; more info can be found at ohospitality.com/gift-cards.

Banquets and events scheduled at Django and its Reinhardt Room private dining facility will be held as planned through the restaurant’s closure. For events scheduled after that date, Orchestrate staff will be contacting clients beginning this week to assist them in relocating to a new location.....

We sincerely thank you for your 18 years of support, and we look forward to continuing to serve you at Django’s affiliated properties.
