We’re celebrating our 4th annual Emerge Iowa DAWN Awards this year, and we need your input about the women who inspire you and deserve recognition. The deadline to nominate someone for one of our awards is February 11, so take a look at the award categories below and nominate a leader who truly deserves recognition in Iowa!

DAWN RISING STAR AWARD: A woman under the age of 30 who has shown dedication to her community and to Democratic values.
DAWN JO ANN ZIMMERMAN ACTIVIST AWARD: An Iowa woman who has positively and significantly impacted the role of women in public life in Iowa in the past year.
DAWN ELECTED LOCAL OFFICIAL AWARD: A public official who has proven to be a strong leader and advocate for women at the local level, or who is a locally elected official or an elected Democrat Party County Chair.
DAWN STATE ELECTED OFFICIAL AWARD: A public official who has proven to be a strong leader and advocate for women at the state level.
DAWN BARBARA BOATWRIGHT LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD: A woman whose life’s work has advanced Democratic values, or a woman who has achieved a noteworthy accomplishment in her community or in the state, which may be a result of paid or non-paid work.
