"Neal Smith Trail"
Neil Ward

Limited-edition prints available at Bike World (WDM) through May 31 with a portion of proceeds benefiting Street Collective.

Inspiration
One of the most popular biking trails I can think of is the Neal Smith Trail. Starting in Des Moines and ending at Big Creek State Park, there are so many points of interest and landscapes to see along the way. My goal was to make a map that would highlight what makes this trail special.

Bio
Neil O. Ward is a Des Moines-based graphic design educator and silkscreen artist. He has taught at Drake University since 2014 and opened his silkscreen print studio, NOW Designs, in 2023 at Mainframe Studios in downtown Des Moines, Iowa. His silkscreen prints are inspired by the optimism of mid-century modern architecture and design. His work is on display at Funky Finds Vintage & Retro, and his studio is open during Mainframe Studios First Friday events.

"Hybrid"
Zane Vredenburg

Limited-edition prints available at Bike World (WDM) through May 31 with a portion of proceeds benefiting Street Collective.

Inspiration
This poster was inspired by the shared language of hybrid design found in both bicycles and corn. Drawing from the visual style of vintage seed bag packaging, the design combines nostalgic agricultural imagery with the classic form of the bicycle to celebrate the relationship between cycling and the rural Iowa environment.

Bio
Zane Vredenburg is an artist, graphic designer, and high school art teacher and has years of experience with many forms of art. His work combines illustration, graphic design, and a playful creative style inspired by music, culture, and the simplicity of everyday life. He loves Iowa, his bike and creating posters about both!

"Pedal Glass Co."
Audrey Vander Schel

Limited-edition prints available at Bike World (WDM) through May 31 with a portion of proceeds benefiting Street Collective.

Inspiration
I had the idea to incorporate the theme of cycling in a stained glass motif since I’ve worked with stained glass art in the past. I also was inspired by vintage marketing posters so I decided to utilize a fictional glass company from Iowa to create a poster advertisement featuring the stained glass design while adding some Iowa specific details like the state bird and state flower.

Bio
I’m a hobby artist and have lived all over the state of Iowa, originally from Davenport and currently living in Huxley. I’ve worked with many different media and techniques such as stained glass and fabric arts, but lately have been exploring digital art and surface & pattern design. Some of my work is featured on my instagram, with links to purchase print on demand products featuring my designs.
