Inner Space Des Moines
Where nervous systems rest and people reconnect with themselves. Clinical care + advanced wellness technologies in one place.
What did you love doing before you became worried about being good at it?
Many of us disconnect from vitality by abandoning parts of ourselves. The playful part. The creative part. The curious part. The part that simply wants to explore.
This week, choose one creative activity just for the joy of doing it.
Paint.
Dance.
Write.
Sing.
Garden.
Cook.
Build something.
Color.
The goal is not productivity.
The goal is not perfection.
The goal is not achievement.
The goal is connection.
Notice what happens when you give yourself permission to create with no attachment to the outcome. You might discover that vitality has been waiting there all along.
What creative activity are you choosing this week? 🎨
Sometimes reconnecting with vitality starts with slowing down.
Take a moment today to pause and check in with yourself.
Notice your breath.
Notice your body.
Notice any sensations, emotions, or needs that are present.
Ask yourself:
✨ What do I need right now?
✨ What would support me in feeling just 1% more alive today?
✨ Where in my life do I already feel energized, connected, or inspired?
Vitality isn’t something we have to force. Often, it grows when we create space to listen.
Try this practice and let us know what you discover.

Disconnection from vitality doesn’t always look like exhaustion.
Sometimes it looks like feeling numb, disconnected, overwhelmed, irritable, stuck, or simply going through the motions. It can feel like you’re surviving instead of truly living.
Often, this happens when our nervous system has spent too much time focused on survival and not enough time nurturing our needs. Stress, trauma, burnout, grief, and chronic overwhelm can pull us away from the parts of ourselves that experience joy, creativity, curiosity, and connection.
The good news? Vitality is rarely gone. More often, it is waiting underneath the layers of stress and protection.
