Recovery Training Institute

This week our Certified Peer Recovery Mentor (CPRM) Academy students had the opportunity to present their final projects.

Each student shared in-depth information on recovery topics and presented an interactive activity to promote the learning process. Some of the topics covered were Cultural Competence, Ethics, and Boundaries, The Dimensions of Wellness, and Multiple Pathways to Recovery. Each presentation also highlighted how they will use their lived experiences to promote wellness and offer support to others who are seeking recovery.

What are you looking forward to in your new role at Detroit Recovery Project?

I am looking forward to working in a collaborative environment where I can use my skills and experience to make an impact on the students who participate in our programs. As a person
who has gone through our programs, I know firsthand the importance of the
training process and the impact we can have on individuals and the community.
