Eagle Works summer break day 1:
Today, Mr Eagle and I had the great honor of visiting the Jackson House at The Henry Ford I have been reading Ms. Jackson's book, The House by the Side of the Road, and it was wonderful to see it all come to life in front of me. We got to visit the place where marches were planned, legislation was discussed, and the very spot with the very textiles where Dr. King sat watching President Johnson support the Voting Rights Act. It is such an important piece of our history, today more than ever. The exhibit opens to the public next month, make sure you reserve a visit!

A story in 2 photos. I'm extremely excited for our big steampunk show this weekend, and we have made a lot of great pieces. It's also the time of year known as "Maycember" where literally everything happens at once. So, am I at my lathe in between dress up activities? I am, and I gotta shout out Foxweave Studios for making the lightest earrings, that I can forget I'm wearing while working! I also wish I was the person that the day before a show was all packed and ready, but this is the assembly bench in real time. I suppose this is your proof that its real human hands, and brains, at work here. Happy friday everybody!
