As the founder of Black Enterprise, he dedicated his life to empowering Black businesses, creating economic opportunities, and advocating for financial literacy. His impact continues to inspire generations of leaders and innovators.

A true visionary, Graves showed us the power of ownership, perseverance, and excellence. Let’s carry his legacy forward!

Today, we honor the incredible Alice Walker—an author, poet, and activist whose words have shaped generations. Best known for her Pulitzer Prize-winning novel The Color Purple, Walker’s storytelling amplifies the voices of Black women, highlighting their strength, resilience, and journeys of self-discovery.

Beyond her literary genius, she has been a lifelong advocate for civil rights, feminism, and justice. Her work reminds us of the power of storytelling in transforming lives and challenging the status quo
