First Day Kits

🎶 Oooooooooh, we’re half way there! 🎶
Today is our last day of fundraising for .detroit! Each kit costs us roughly $400 in kit items, packing materials, travel expenses, and man power! Can you help us get a little closer before the end of the night? Another $200 would ensure 3 complete kits for CHS clients- many of which have survived homelessness in Detroit for a year or more. LINK IN BIO. Each month we will be featuring a different community partner who assists our unhoused neighbors with accessing housing. This month we are working to serve the clients of .detroit. Many of whom have been experiencing homelessness for over a year. Your donations will help us provide five individuals or families with essential home items to make this transition safer and more comfortable. First Day Kits include an air mattress, bedding/pillows, dishes, utensils, cookware, cleaning products, towels, a shower curtain, etc. Without these items, many folx spend weeks or longer sleeping on the floor, unable to cook, bathe comfortably, and more or less squatting in their own home. This is unsustainable. Let’s help our neighbors. 🏠💛💪

This is both a celebration and a bittersweet message to our partners! provided us with $30,000 to provide 100 kits to those exiting homelessness in Detroit back in January and we’ve reached our goal!
