So here's that Eastern Market Partnership haul from yesterday: Organic apples... they ain't pretty, but there's no wax on them and no pesticides in them. CANARY melons and prickly pears ('cause I wanted to try something new). Those little yellow balls are lemon cucumbers. And of course I had to stop by Aunt Nee's booth to get my chips & mango salsa and my GOAT juice! 😋😋😋 I'll let y'all know about those melons later. 😉

Big ol no🙅🏾‍♀️ Let me break it down because I know some people really don’t understand the cost of custom cakes👇🏾 1️⃣Custom cakes are a luxury, not a necessity 2️⃣Generally we do much more outside of just baking & decorating the cake. We’re coordinating design details based on your event, researching ideas, emailing back & forth, talking on the phone with you, shopping around for materials, coordinating with your planner, etc. 3️⃣Most custom bakers pricing starts at $5-7/serving & even that’s low imo 💎If you’re ordering anything custom from anybody, I suggest seeing if they have a minimum order amount first. If so & there is no wiggle room in your budget, don’t try to get them to negotiate or “work with you”. 💎If they don’t have pricing listed, reach out with your budget & guest count & politely ask if they have any options within your budget. Don’t assume they will work with your budget just because their a “small business” ❗️Bakers: stop hiding your pricing & be upfront with your minimums. This saves you time & helps the customer make the decision whether they have the budget to work with you or not. K I’m gone.
