Thank you, Detroit. Your constant referrals have kept our rehabbed Virginia Park rental homes going strong for nearly 15 years. Today, we are excited to share a newly published listing in a great home.
The historic “Rose House” had been vacant for decades, prior to our team purchasing it in 2015. We completed renovation work in early 2016, but eight years later, the interior has been lovingly maintained and still sparkles.
Please take a moment to look and share our latest listing, especially if you know someone looking to share a spacious home with fellow Detroiters. Thank you!

A study of Detroit’s urban gardeners published in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health found that gardeners reported improved moods, reduced stress and better management of chronic conditions.
The Healing Power of Urban Gardening Detroit resident Heidi Penix started a garden while simultaneously learning of a cancer diagnosis. “It’s a constant process of learning what it takes to keep things alive,” she says.

Residents of Virginia Park Historic District turned this once vacant lot into a garden with four season interest and a lively habitat. There’s also much less grass to mow!
The Neighborhood Beautification Program (NBP) provides grants to Detroit-based block clubs, neighborhood associations, nonprofit organizations, and faith-based organizations to carry out a project on up to four vacant lots in their community. Funded with $4.75 million from the Neighborhood Improvement Fund and the American Rescue Plan Act, the NBP offers grants of $500 to $15,000 for community gardens, public space improvements, and clean-up activities.
Applications are open now through February 23rd 2024. If you want help, ask!
