A father and daughter duo from Wayne State University School of Medicine won top honors in their respective categories at the American Cataract and Refractive Surgeons 44th annual Film Festival in Washington, D.C.

The American Cataract and Refractive Surgeons annual Film Festival celebrates over 150 films covering surgical techniques, research advancements, clinical updates, and more.

Jenna Hart, Class of 2027, placed first in the shorts category for her film, and her father, John Hart, M.D. ’91, placed first in the complicated cataract category.
